Boys. Because they are fun.

Sometimes my dynamic duo (aged 8 and 10 but always mistaken for fraternal twins) disappears for hours into their bedroom, where an abunance of LEGO, wooden kapla blocks, motor robotix stuff, and Hot Wheels can be found. There is also a fairly old laptop on which they find plans for things such as how to make a pretend shotgun out of Mom’s printing paper and glue…

This is what I find when they finally come downstairs and ask me to check out what they have made. I regret not getting a pic of the Eiffel Tower from the other day, or of the sea and port created with the use of a blue fleece throw for the water… The landscape up there is always changing. I think this is fantastic for their development. Not that I view my children as some kind of freaky experiments whose developments I am carefeully monitoring on an hourly basis. That would be weird, not fun. And we prefer fun.

Tobo and his creations. The other day he took a blue blanket and made a dock and ships out of blocks and LEGO on it.
